Thanks for the in-depth tea info. From my understanding this is good for losing weight, and improving your metabolism. But would it be bad for someone trying to gain weight? I don’t have the problem of being overweight, instead I feel as if I’m a bit underweight. So would this tea prove to be more harmful than good?
I wish I was on the same boat as you man. I’m trying to lose weight at the moment, I’m about 50 pounds overweight for my height according to this article I read. I don’t look that bad though but since I’m not as agile as I used to be, sports are out of the question. I’ll be giving this tea a try soon.
Both of you should definitely give Wu Yi Tea a try. I’ve been drinking it for 3 weeks now and have noticed some significant results. It also doesn’t taste that bad, I find it quite enjoyable. It’s especially good now in the winter, I like it a lot more than coffee.
I agree. I’ve been “addicted” to Wu Yi tea for quite a while now (4 months to be exact). My cholesterol level has tremendously decreased since then. I am most definitely one of those people who love it. So far there has been no negative side effects therefore there is no harm in trying it.
I first heard about it from Oprah, and now due to my situation I am considering it more than ever. I need to begin losing weight since I just recently gave birth to my second child. I also like the fact that wu yi tea will help control my cholesterol problem.
Wow, I was not aware that this was better than drinking water! The only problem I’m facing is that I don’t know where to buy some. I’m guessing they might have it at the local super market right? Or if anyone knows an online shop that sells it for a good price I’d appreciate that as well.
I’m not sure where you live but you might have better luck going to those specialized tea shops. You could also ask for Oolong tea which is another name for Wu Yi tea. That’s actually the formal name if I’m not mistaken. Alternatively, there’s a bunch of sites selling it but you have to watch out for imitations. Good luck!
This thing doesn’t seem to work for me! I’ve been drinking it for about a month now, almost on a daily basis and have noticed no results. Normally I’d say it was a BS scheme but some of you have reported actual results. Oh yes, and my reason for drinking Wu Yi tea is for it’s weight loss benefits. Anyone have any idea why I’m not seeing results?
You raise an interesting point. Some people experience huge weight loss whilst others see few results with Wu Yi tea. As a wu yi guru my many years of research have shown me that overall Wu Yi Tea works best when combined with a healthy diet. When all these factors are combined together it is then that people start to see serious weight loss.
Good luck with your continued weight loss journey.
Yes, that point about the healthy diet is very true. You could actually lose weight without drinking tea or any other weight loss supplements by just sticking to healthy eating habits and exercise. But such supplements, such as Wu Yi tea help speed up the process so they are still worth trying.
A very informative read, I knew most of what was said already but I didn’t really know much about the “technical” aspects behind how Wu Yi tea worked.
I’ve been drinking it for weeks now, and can say it’s definitely worth trying. As the article says, it’s no miracle product but with some exercise along with healthy eating you’ll feel more energized and be able to drop a few pounds.
To be honest I think tea tastes gross. I don’t know how you people can stand it! I don’t like coffee either, I just drink water and juice. Soda at times as well. Anyway, my weight is fine, but my cholesterol isn’t as top notch as I wish it was therefore I’m considering to try this Wu Yi tea junk. So how does it taste like? Is it basically like green tea?
I used to think it tasted bad too, but then I got used to it. It’s really healthy unlike coffee therefore you should get into the habit of drinking it. Actually, most teas are good for you whether they are Wu Yi or not. With that being said, at first it might not be the best tasting thing but after a while it becomes pleasing. I suggest you eat it with some sugar free cookies or a healthy snack bar.
Although I don’t know you Diana, best of luck with your child!
Anyway, yes you do get used to the flavor after a while and it’s really not that bad. I actually like it more than water. And now that I know that tea is better than water I won’t feel as bad that I don’t drink enough of it. I just started drinking Wu Yi tea recently though so haven’t noticed any major effects yet but the previous teas I’ve been drinking have helped me, especially with stress.
I beg to differ with the statement made about water.
I believe that while Wu Yi tea or any other tea for that matter, might have some benefits that water doesn’t provide, water essentially is still more beneficial in the long run. It’s the only fluid that can truly provide the fuel our body needs.
I’ve tried slim fast and the likes, and none of them provided any reasonable results. So I gave this tea jazz a try some weeks back and tried different teas. I did notice some improvement but nothing big. A pal of mine, Alex, then told me about Wu Yi tea. So I’ve been drinking it for about a week now and still haven’t noticed any weight loss but did notice a slight improvement in my cholesterol. So I guess it’s too early for the weight of course, but the other stuff seems to be kicking in.
When I first read this post, I had to look up who this so called Oprah was, and now I know..I guess we all learn something new everyday right? Anyway, I don’t really care much for what she has to say, but she seems to have been on the mark with this tea.
I’m relatively in shape and have no cholesterol problems so I can’t comment on how wu yi tea helps with that but I will say it has helped with my digestion. When I go to sleep now I don’t have any problems anymore.
Nice article, however I have some questions. How long does it take for me to start seeing some weight loss results with Wu Yi tea? Also, further above I read something about imitations, how can I spot which tea is legit and which one is not? I’m not an expert on teas..
Being a stressed out individual, I can say that the tea world has definitely helped me out! And since lately I’ve been gaining a few pounds I’ve been looking for ways to lose some weight. I’m glad to have stumbled upon this, as I’ve had great results with tea in the past so I imagine Wu Yi tea will be effective as well.
Ugh, I can’t see myself drinking this. I have tried many times before to drink this stuff on a daily basis but it just didn’t work out. My parents kept nagging me that it’s good for my digestion and whatnot. I honestly don’t think drinking tea, or Wu Yi in this case can actually help with that. Anyone beg to differ?
Well the tea itself probably won’t magically improve your digestion. As others have stated you need some sort of healthy diet first. The tea merely just helps. You have to keep this in mind with any product really, not just Wu Yi tea. It’s like taking medicine for the cold but then running around in your underwear while it’s snowing outside and then complaining about still being sick. I hope this helped.
I jog almost every day and at the end of the day I usually always have a cup of tea. I’ve read about this Wu Yi tea beforehand, but didn’t really bother with it. Lately my stomach has been a little uneasy though since I’ve been eating later in the day. According to this article, this stuff will help with digestion. So I might give it a try, I’ll post back my results later if I still remember the site.
wow! after reading the posts i am really excited to try this. because, i need to loss my weight, since it has increased too much.. after trying the tea i will let u guys know the result. till then byee.
Thanks for your useful comment that I have found here.Although I am not looking for weight loss, but for my fat relative it will be very helpful. Finally want to say this is really nice and informative, thanks.
I’m very excited to find out that drinking tea is practically more advisable than drinking pure water. I’m just curious right now,
Why other medical specialist or doctors still advice us to drink more pure water? None of them suggest tea in their list.
In my opinion, to let loose your weight, is not sufficiency just to drink the tea. You still have to physical exercise day by day, preserve your Healthy dieting and sustain your mental wellness systematically
